EKTT Weekly Treasury Challenge: Spring Holidays or Red Riding Hood

The winner of our latest weekly treasury challenge, SquishyBee on Etsy, wants to celebrate Spring Holidays with the EtsyKids Treasury Team!  To add a new dimension to this week's challenge let's head to the movies:  HOP opens April 1st and Red Riding Hood is already a trending topic for April's Merchandising Report.  We've already had one EKTT treasury make the front page of Etsy for the movie theme Red Riding Hood--let's curate more for Etsy's home page!

April Fools' Day, Easter, or Mother's Day

Focus Items:  April Fools treasuries will focus on practical jokes, gag gifts, and silly handmade and vintage items...tickle our funny bones!  Easter and Mother's Day treasuries will be tagged with these dates:  Mothering Sunday, April 3; Easter, April 24; and Mother's Day, May 8.  Mother's Day or Mothering Sunday:  personalization options, pampering, jewelry, creative framing and photo displays, gadget accessories, flower and bud vases, planters, home decor, and cards for Mother's Day, spring gardening, flowers, spring fashion basics in lighter materials, open-toe shoes, sunglasses, and hair accessories.   Easter:  HOP the movie (click to see trailer),  bright and pastel colors, bunnies, rabbits, eggs, baskets, candy, toys, children's spring formal attire, and religious mementos.

Focus Items:  Red Riding Hood (click for more information on the movie and to see the trailer), forestry, red capes, wolves, werewolves, the moon (blood moon), young love, legends and dark fairytales.

EKTT Weekly Treasury Challenge: Etsy's Euro Week & Spring Holidays

The winner of our latest weekly treasury challenge, felted kitten on Etsy, wants to honor Etsy's Euro Week 2011 and Spring Holidays!  I am positive you creative EKTT curators will come up with inventive ways to combine April Fools' Day or Easter or Mother's Day with Etsy's Euro Week celebration.

Focus Items:  Check out featured shops HERE and from the blog post highlighted above or use geographic search to find your own European shops to feature.  Tag treasuries "EtsyEuro."  Think stripey French shirts, European maps and objects made of them, London, Scotland, Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland...focus on one particular region or combine all of Europe!  (Note:  EtsyKids Team items do not have to originate in Europe but may honor European flavor in either style or perhaps a European flag.)
