"Summer Solstice" Weekly Treasury Challenge 20: SquishyBee

Congratulations to Cortney of SquishyBee on Etsy on her win of the Summer Solstice  treasury challenge!  Cortney's treasury, "Perfect Picnic" received the most views of any of our treasury submissions on Etsy.

EKTT Weekly Treasury Challenge: Summer Solstice and Carnival Celebration

The winner of our latest weekly treasury challenge, Apple n Amos on Etsy, wants to take the party outside, Guys and Dolls!  After we fill up on steak and margaritas let's fly on over to the Carnival!

Summer Solstice

Focus Items:  Garden parties, picnics, barbecues, grilling, and pool parties at home, the beach, countryside, forest, or mountains.  Think summer cocktails, home brewing, beer and wine accessories, herb infusions, organic garden to table.  Decorate the outdoor room and party with vintage items gathered while antiquing or shopping at flea markets.  Activities like camping, biking, hiking, fishing, fireworks and water sports.  Emphasis on hostess gifts, large scale vintage and handmade paper maps, botanical and anatomy charts, bath and beauty, and clever ways to stay cool all summer  Colors - jewel tones, orange, blush, and neon.

Carnival Celebration

Focus Items:  Carnivals and State Fairs, bright colors, side show spectacles, freaks, bearded ladies, beards and mustaches, animals and costuming, the ice cream shop.  Geometry - shapes, stripes, patterns, triangles, chevrons, facets, and arrows.  Letters, Numbers, and Symbols - large vintage signage letters, typewriter keys.  Think wall decals, glittery makeup, feather hair extensions, feather earrings, and feather accessories.

1.  Submit as many treasuries fitting these themes in as many variations as you wish through Saturday, June 4, Noon EST.
